My Policy on “Doing” Healing for Family Members

Dear Family (kids, spouse, parents, siblings, nephews/nieces, cousins, in-laws etc)

The reason for writing down my policy is two-fold. First, it gives me an effective, efficient, clear structure for how to do healing work with you, while relieving my sense of overwhelm that I should be helping my family 24/7 and my guilt about not helping 24/7. Second, it clarifies for you how to actually get help from me.

1. I will do healing sessions for you, without your permission or request, if you have an emergency or serious acute situation.

2. I will not do healing sessions for you, for a chronic long-term condition, minor injury, other non-emergency situations like cold, flu, heachache, pain, depression, relationship problem, stress, etc… unless you specifically request that I do so.

3. If you want me to do a healing session with you, you must ask me. I will not offer, unless it’s an emergency or you are not physically capable of asking. When you are a willing participant who takes responsibility for your own healing, I am more than willing to work with you. I am honored to help.

4. Healing is not something that I do to you. The healer “doing healing to” a healee, can work very well in the initial phase of their relationship, or for a young child, or in an emergency. But after that initial phase is over, or the child becomes self-aware and self-compentent, healing work for non-emergency conditions must be mutually agreed upon. Otherwise, the session is much less effective.

5. Please expand your expectations of the possible result of the healing session to include a) infinite limitless instant healing; b) no discernible change; and c) anything in between. Your non-attachment to the outcome of the healing paradoxically gives you a better chance at good results – as does your willingness to allow change in your information-field.

6. The kind of healing work that I do is not “curing”. Your medical diagnosis, the conventional explanation, and the so-called common-sense cause of your condition is just a tiny fraction of your issue, from an energy/information standpoint. If you ask me to work with you, be prepared to work on your whole life in all dimensions – not just on your local complaint. The goal of any “healing” that I do is Alignment with Wholeness. When alignment is achieved, healing can happen quickly, because…

Without this book, I never would have become a healer. (Well, I probably would have eventually… but it would have been much slower and more difficult!)

Fritjof Capra, author of The Tao of Physics (He came over to my folks’ house for dinner. Then we all crammed into the car as my dad drove us to Laguna Beach‚ CA and my leg touched Fritjof’s the whole way there. This was around 1975 – I was about 16 and totally thrilled!)

Werner Heisenberg, of Uncertainty Principle fame. (I’m certain it was in Schladming, Austria, but I’m uncertain whether I was 3 or 4 years old). Coz the uncertainty principle states that you can know position, or future momentum, but not both, at least not precisely!)

Roger Penrose (No interesting anecdote. But it still counts.)

and lots more, like Nobel laureates Fred Reines (of neutrino fame), and Emilio Segre (house-sat for him), as well as David Ruelle (coined “strange attractors” – I think my friends and I broke into his house and short-sheeted his bed in 1970, in Bures-sur-Yvette, France, or was that a different mathematician?), and countless others.

How did I meet these guys? Thanks to my dad, Herr Professor Meinhard E. Mayer – a mathematical physicist string theorist who hobnobs with super-nerds from CERN to MIT to Berkeley to his home turf at UC Irvine.

I never wanted to be one.

Well, actually I sort of did, but only if it was gonna be
easy and painless… which was impossible, right?
I didn’t want to go to med school, chiropractic college,
homeopathy or acupuncture school.
It just all seemed waaaaaay tooooo hard!

I said to myself “If I can find some super easy method,

I never could have predicted this magnitude of implausibility. It’s simply incredible. But belief is obviously not a indicator of truth. I truly can’t believe it all, yet it’s still happening.

Belief often doesn’t correspond with reality, contrary to the pop-new-age oversimplification that, “You can create anything if only you believe.” Believing something doesn’t make it true. “Earth is 6,000 years old,” because some folks are certain of it… really? And disbelief doesn’t make it false. “Human activity does not cause climate change,” if enough people insist it doesn’t… right?

This lack of correspondence between belief and reality doesn’t only apply to disasters and things going all to hell. Amazing improvements, fortuitous coincidences, sudden enlightenments and seemingly miraculous healings are also sharply on the rise, even thought they’re equally hard to believe. But that doesn’t mean they’re not happening, despite nay-saying skeptics. Don’t automatically believe the doubters – their ancestors were probably flat-earthers.

I see miracles every single day. From instant healings to life transformations, the constant flow of astonishing yet unexplained phenomena is getting yawningly commonplace. When I stop to think about it, I can hardly believe it. But it’s happening, nonetheless.

Everything’s intensifying. We’re constantly adjusting to ever-increasing negativity. So let’s stretch our minds equally in the other direction. Let’s allow that astonishing things are happening in the realm of the miraculous.

Amazing, incredible, awesome (in the original sense) transformation is everywhere you look… in our technological, mental, psychic and spiritual evolution. And you don’t even have to believe. Regardless of your belief or disbelief, miracles happen anyway.

Are there big obvious parts of your being that you habitually squelch? To what vision of yourself do you turn a blind eye – or cringe in hope that others won’t see? What do you want to avoid being asked, at all costs?

It’s time to come out of our spiritual closets. Human evolution has progressed too far for us to stay in hiding. From sexual preference, to religious, philosophical, class, national, tribal and political preference, and even our choice of food, fashion and fun… we humans must embrace the yin-yang of our inner diversity as well as our unified wholeness.

But there’s lots of hiding places in our psyches, where da sun don’t shine. Time to let the light into the closet.

So how can you tell whether you’ve got a Don’t Tell spell that’s operating under cover of darkness? You observe the things you’re most defensive about, most reactive to. Defensiveness always hides something that needs defending, something that won’t stand on its own.

One foolproof way that I use to de-closet my crap, is to observe my mental arguments. For instance, I often find myself debating a straw man – a recurring, annoying, foe that resides in my mental chatterbox. He’s a skeptic, and he argues with me about why all this woo-woo stuff… like homeopathy and acupuncture… couldn’t possibly work. He’s obviously a part of my psyche that I’m still trying to convince, having grown up with mathematical-physics-professor father and biochemist mother.

Of course, it doesn’t make sense that I’d need to prove anything to any skeptic… I have daily experiential proof that this woo-woo stuff does work, really really well! But I must still be in some closet, somewhere, coz these arguments keep happening. And even now I still find myself a teeny tiny bit embarrassed to talk about what I do, in front of my old friends that knew me B.C. (Before the change).

So what’s my Don’t Ask Don’t Tell here? That I’m a snake-oil salesperson, and I’ll be subject to a Python-esque witch hunt? That I’ll fail at a critical moment, betraying trust and be flayed alive? Yep, mmm-hmmm, that feels about right. Irrational fear or traumatic resonance with the archetype of failure — I sure didn’t want to ask or tell myself about that!

I hereby ask myself: who am I and what am I?

I hereby tell myself: I am Infinite Self, and so is my snake-oil, my witch-hunter, my worst-case scenario. Ok, I’ve asked and I’ve told… what was untold before. I now submit these information patterns to the light, to be cleaned and cleared. I see that my worst fears are distinct and separate from my self.

Look ma, I’ve dropped the soap in the barracks shower, and yet I’m still intact!
